Did You Know That 11pH is 1000x Times Stronger Than 8pH?

Did You Know That 11pH is 1000x Times Stronger Than 8pH?

The difference between 8 and 11 doesn't sound like much but scientifically, on the pH scale, the difference is MASSIVE.

A super-simple explanation of how it works is at the bottom here if you're running short on time.

pHenomenal's concentrate makes 11pH drinking water when diluted 1:32 (1 ounce of concentrate to 32 ounces of water).

Most of the bottled alkaline water products on the market today are in the 8pH range. There are a few at 9pH and a couple of products actually make it up to 10pH.

Why would we say "actually make it up to 10pH"?

Because traditional alkaline products are made by adding alkaline minerals (sodium, potassium, calcium and/or magnesium) to water. The more minerals added, the higher the pH.

But there are 2 limitations to these products:

  1. the bonds between the minerals and the water gradually break down and therefore the water reverts to its previous pH. For example- it is quite common to perform a pH test on a common brand of alkaline water which advertises a 9.5pH and find it has dropped to a 7.5-8pH mere months since the manufacture date.  Some brands obscure this and avoid being penalized for misleading labeling by using the phrase "bottled at __pH" rather than stating the product is "always" that pH.  So they have a fairly short shelf-life before you're essentially buying plain water. Protip: never buy a bottled alkaline water at a discount store such as Dollar General or Dollar Tree.  They are usually just months away from their "best buy" date and their pH will nearly always already be far from what the label says, even all the way down to neutral (7pH).
  2. those added alkaline minerals are not tasteless. Only so much can be added before the water gets a funky, sea-water vibe that isn't exactly pleasant.  It's not much noticeable in a newly-bottled product in the 8-9pH range but when you get to 10pH the smell and taste are definitely there.

Since pHenomenal's creation is a completely different process than traditional bottled alkaline water comparing them is, in a way, like comparing apples to oranges.  But one thing that we can compare directly is how they rank on the pH scale, and that is indisputable.

Watch this 30-second video and you'll see for yourself why pHenomenal lives up to its name.
