What You Should Know About Home Alkaline Systems
Share
Here, "home and portable alkaline systems" refers to machines that use electricity (not minerals) to produce alkaline water. Kangan, Enagic and Alkaviva are the most well-known brands.
They are counter-top appliances (some quite large), are very costly and the water they produce is notably unstable; it must be used within hours before it reverts to a neutral pH.
The water these machines produce has been temporarily rearranged using an electrical charge. Although water that passes through a system is "split" into alkaline and acid water, both of those waters, if left alone for a period of time will revert to the water's original pH.
pHenomenal is created to be different and work more effectively.
As long as pHenomenal (mixed or concentrate) is kept from long-term exposure to a free flow of fresh air it can retain its pH indefinitely. How long is "indefinitely"? By our bench tests of product bottled in 2004 at least 20 years and counting.
Air contains hydrogen and since pHenomenal’s mechanism of action is to bind to hydrogen (inside the body or out) the pH would lower over time. But don't worry about slamming a lid back on a container immediately- that process happens over days, not minutes or seconds.
Although alkaline minerals are a small part of the manufacturing process of pHenomenal, they are filtered out before bottling, and the levels that remain are below labeling requirements- that's why pHenomenal's nutrition label shows no "% Daily Value" of any mineral.
Some of the brands mentioned above are sold in multi-level marketing programs- that is why many people who own and sell them are so eager to give you samples.
