If you are thinking of starting a more alkaline lifestyle, how would you start?
Diet: this will most likely be the biggest way to strive towards an alkaline lifestyle. It can also be one of the hardest changes to make and maintain, depending on your current eating and drinking habits.
So what simples steps can be taken?
Planning meals ahead: though this takes time and a little bit of organization, it'll help you from giving into just swinging thru the closest drive-thru place, or snacking on potato chips and junk food because you didn't have the time to put together a more wholesome and healthier lunch. Alkaline foods include but are not limited to spinach, broccoli, celery, kale, avocados, and bell peppers.
Incorporate more fresh fruits and vegetables in your meals, and cut out or limit processed and sugary foods. Doing this a little more a bit each day will help you ease into a healthier, alkaline diet, especially if it's new to you.
Be balanced! You can't eat solely alkaline foods, because the human body does need a balance of some acidity. A good rule of thumb: Try sticking to 75% alkaline foods and 25% low acidic foods.
Drink more water! As delicious and addictive as our favorite soda or coffee drinks might be, if they're in excess they will only do you harm and severely dehydrate you. Try drinking more water and less sugary and caffeinated drinks. To add that extra boost to your water, be sure to regularly mix it with your pHenomenal Water concentrate.
